For many years, PayPal subscriptions have worked on a push basis - when you setup a subscription, the payment is sent from your PayPal account to ours. This works fine unless you pay an invoice early or cancel a service, as the payment still gets sent, resulting in an annoyed customer and refund fees for us.
We've now switched the the new 'PayPal Payments' service. Instead of setting up a subscription, this registers a token so that we can request payments when they are due. If your service is already paid, or cancelled, we simply don't send the request. No more double-billing or paying for services you no longer require.
As a result of this, we've cancelled all the existing PayPal subscriptions as they were no longer registering correctly. This means, unfortunately, that PayPal customers will need to pay their next invoice manually to establish the new link. After this, we can charge you automatically, requiring no further work.
So, if you pay your subscription by PayPal, please pay your next invoice manually.
If you have recently made a payment via PayPal that has not been applied to your account, please get in touch so we can apply it for you.
Thanks for your custom and thanks for choosing NetWeaver.
